RESCHEDULED DUE TO SNOW DAYS LAST WEEK!
Grand Valleys own Professor Renee Zettle-Sterling, the official faculty representative for 494, is joining us tonight to share her incredible work. From Objects of Mourning to Transitional Objects of Understanding to Hedgecrafting, Professor Renee takes profound human emotionslike grief and mourningand transforms them into powerful stories told through everyday objects. On top of her groundbreaking creative work, shes also the President-Elect of the Society of North American Goldsmiths, a nonprofit that uplifts and connects jewelry and metalsmithing artists across North America. Were so lucky to have her here with us tonightget ready to be inspired!
After our speaker event, we will be going over pitch day: what to create, what to bring, and what to expect. Please attend this meeting if you have a magazine pitch idea or want to be a part of others ideas!
