Japanese Language Minor
The ability to speak and read another language expands our range of
cultural competency and communication, but also enriches our
understanding of the world and our own culture.
Program Overview
The program introduces you to the Japanese language. You will practice in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Japanese culture is integrated throughout the program.

Coursework
The minor is comprised of 20 credits. Coursework covers all aspects of language and culture. Required courses for the Japanese language minor:
- JPN 201 - Intermediate Japanese Language and Culture I
- JPN 202 - Intermediate Japanese Language and Culture II
Complete the minor with four credits of upper-level language and
eight credits of elective courses such as Japanese literature,
culture, theatre, and film as well as study abroad opportunities.
